South Beach is located at the southern end of Duval Street on the ocean side and is within walking distance of many attractions as well as shopping and restaurants. You can take a dip in the warm shallow waters or catch a sunrise or a sunset from the Emma Carrero Cates Pier.

If you're looking to go to a beach in Key West, we would recommend Fort Zachary Taylor. (And maybe Smathers, we didn't get a chance to check that one out.) If you're willing to drive to find a great beach, Bahia Honda -- about an hour away -- is absolutely the way to go.
