Iran launched retaliation against the United States on Monday, firing short- and medium-range missiles targeting the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Prior to Monday morning's news of Iran's attacks on the U.S. air base in Qatar, three Washington lawmakers released statements on the U.S. attack.

Iran announced the attack on state television as martial music played. A caption on screen called it “a mighty and successful response” to “America’s aggression.”
