Jake Burger had time to smile Monday afternoon. Could’ve been because, for the first time in a week-and-a-half, he was back in a big league clubhouse with his teammates. Could’ve been because he was no longer holed up in a hotel some eight hours from home.

Whether it’s a smartphone, a computer or even a Major League Baseball player, sometimes a reset is necessary. For Rangers first baseman Jake Burger, that meant getting recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday after spending 10 days clearing his cache in the Minors.

The Texas Rangers recalled veteran infielder Jake Burger from Triple-A Round Rock and optioned first baseman Blaine Crim as the team prepared to host the Colorado Rockies in the first of a three-game set on Monday.
