Real Betis have opened the door to signing Manchester United flop Antony on a permanent transfer. The Brazilian winger joined Betis on loan until the end of the season in January. Antony is considered one of the biggest transfer flops in history, having struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since his £82m move from Ajax in 2022.

Antony saw his second game for Real Betis go from dream to nightmare as the La Liga side threw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to Celta Vigo.

Manchester United winger Antony continued his fine start to life on loan at Real Betis with his first goal for the LaLiga side during Saturday's game at Celta Vigo and won MVP for the second game in a row.

Antony was named MVP for a second game running for Real Betis but Manchester United ’s on-loan winger was unhappy after his side threw away a two-goal lead against Celta Vigo. The Brazilian was named the game’s MVP last Sunday after impressing in Betis’ 2-2 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao.

The switch has seen Antony head to the Estadio Benito Villamarin in a straight loan with no option to buy and with the Spanish side reportedly covering up to 84 per cent of the attacker's wages as a move to slim the wage bill at Ruben Amorim's side.

Alejandro Garnacho has praised Antony after the Manchester United loanee scored his first goal for Real Betis. Antony, who joined the La Liga side on loan from United last month, found the back of the net during their 3-2 defeat against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
