Few details of the upcoming PGA Championship will have as much impact on the final result as what the players can do on the so-called "Green Mile."

The PGA Tour heads to Charlotte for the second major of the year, the PGA Championship. The host venue this week will be Quail Hollow Club, host of the 2017 PGA Championship and the annual event now known as the Truist Championship (held last week in Philadelphia with Quail’s major hosting duties).

The PGA of America announced Tuesday, ahead of the championship, that the 2032 edition would be contested at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma (pictured above). It will be the first venue to host six PGA Championships (1970, 1982, 1994, 2007, 2022).

Former American Ryder Cup star Hunter Mahan has bizarrely compared Quail Hollow, the venue for the 2025 PGA Championship, to a member of the Kardashian family. The North Carolina course will host the major this weekend for a second time, and is an annual stop on the PGA Tour for the tournament now known as the Truist Championship.

The spotlight is on Quail Hollow this week as the 2025 PGA Championship gets underway, but things may be getting a little too bright. Although a mainstay on the PGA Tour, the knives are coming out for the PGA Championship venue from all sides, including the players.

John Daly withdrew from the PGA Championship to play the first major of the senior season. He was joined in his decision by one of his fellow major winners.
