Paulinho worked his way between a pair of defenders and rolled a shot into the back of the net in extra time Saturday to put Palmeiras into the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup.

Palmeiras fans had to wait 100 minutes for the goal, but Paulinho's strike was a deserved reward for the teams' play and the colorful scene in the stands at Lincoln Financial Field.
