Nintendo released its highly anticipated follow-up to the Nintendo Switch, aptly titled the Nintendo Switch 2. This naming scheme isn't just due to a lack of creativity — it illustrates the company's iterative approach to refining their already successful hybrid formula.

It’s just been a few days since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched, and most places have already sold out. There were restocks here and there throughout the week, but as of last weekend, consoles have been snapped up almost everywhere.

We can’t guarantee you’ll still be able to snag a Switch 2 the old-fashioned way, but it’s worth checking if a local Target, Best Buy, Walmart or GameStop — the four official retailers Nintendo lists on its store page — still has consoles in stock.
