According to Amico via Hoops Wire, some Knicks players have privately expressed frustration over Rick Brunson’s role.

The Eastern Conference finals are heading back to Indianapolis for Game 6. With their backs against the wall, the New York Knicks delivered a wire-to-wire 17-point win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 on Thursday night to keep their season alive.

An unflattering report emerged Wednesday about Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson, who is also the father of Knicks star player Jalen Brunson. Sam Amico of Hoops Wire reports that multiple Knicks players have been unhappy with the presence of Rick in New York.

Those two led the Knicks to 51 wins and the conference finals, but the defense was not good enough, even with Mitchell Robinson.
