A judge has ordered the Los Angeles DA to explain why evidence was withheld in the Menendez brothers' trial. New evidence suggests sexual abuse by their father, which could alter their 1996 murder convictions.

The judge in the case not only says that the latest evidence makes a compelling case to throw out their conviction, but he wants prosecutors to explain why the convictions shouldn’t be overturned.
