Lake George transformed into a vibrant gathering spot as families rallied to honor civil rights leader John Lewis, featuring speeches, music, and a spirit of community solidarity.

More than 200 rallied in Fort Myers to honor John Lewis and protest what they see as threats to civil and human rights.

The rally, held by Williamsburg JCC Indivisible and the League of Women Voters of the Williamsburg Area, was one of similar “Good Trouble Lives On” demonstrations held across the country in protest of the Trump administration. The demonstrations, named after one of Lewis’ signature quotes, coincided with the fifth anniversary of Lewis’ death.
