Google Earth got a Street View feature that effectively lets users travel through time. The tech giant announced this week that it was bringing historical Street View imagery to Google Earth, which lets folks look back at past pictures of the world.

The feature works on both the app version of Google Earth and the browser-based version. To access it, tap the layers menu. Below the option to toggle 3D buildings on or off, you should see a toggle for historical imagery.

Google announced on Tuesday that you can now access historical Street View imagery on Google Earth. Until now, you’ve only been able to access historical Street View imagery on Google Maps. Google says the launch will allow people to explore from even more viewpoints, whether it’s a bird’s-eye view or at street level.
