Planned Parenthood has won a partial victory in a legal fight with President Donald Trump’s administration over its efforts to defund the organization in tax legislation.

State Attorney General William Tong, alongside Democratic lawmakers and Planned Parenthood advocates, on Tuesday announced that Connecticut is joining a coalition of more than 20 states suing the federal government to stop its effort to "defund" Planned Parenthood centers nationwide.

Utah Sen. Mike Lee challenged the ruling, questioning the constitutional basis for judicial intervention in congressional legislation.
