Tadej Pogačar has powered to an impressive stage win on the first day in the Pyrenees to take back the Tour de France yellow jersey.

Tadej Pogačar, showing no ill effects from his crash on Wednesday, won stage 12 in the Pyrenees to reclaim the overall lead in the Tour de France.

Quinn Simmons has ridden at the front of the peloton or in breakaways much of the race. The five Americans riding in the Tour de France this year are showing well with a little more than a week to go in the 21-day bike race.

The 112th Tour will take place entirely within France and features a late twist when the peloton finally arrives in Paris after a gruelling route through the Pyrenees and the Alps

So far we’ve seen a largely-imperious Tadej Pogačar, an aggressive Visma-Lease A Bike squad, a super-strong Ben Healy, a hyper-committed Mathieu van der Poel and myriad other storylines. All in all it’s been an enthralling edition of the Tour.
