Waters finished last season with the Pistons and became a free agent. He's found a new NBA home with the Spurs.

According to a report, the San Antonio Spurs have signed swingman Lindy Waters III to a one-year deal. Waters played 38 games with Golden State last season and averaged 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 17.2 minutes. With him, Spurs now have 14 players on standard contracts and have a couple of two-way spots remaining.

The Spurs entered the summer free agency period with two pressing needs to address. The first -- a lack of big man depth behind franchise cornerstone Victor Wembanyama -- the club addressed by signing former Boston center Luke Kornet and trading with Washington for Kelly Olynyk.
