Sesame Street’s upcoming 56th season — as well as 90 hours of previous episodes — will be available on Netflix later this year. New episodes will also continue to air on PBS Stations and PBS KIDS digital platforms.

An HBO Max subscription is required to watch Sesame Street on the platform. Some social media users hoped that Netflix would allow viewers to tune into old and new episodes without requiring a subscription.

Starting next season, “Sesame Street” will be brought to you by the letter N. Streaming giant Netflix will be the new zip code for the cherished neighborhood after a new partnership. It comes after their contract with HBO was not renewed.
