Actor Julian McMahon, best known for his roles in "Nip/Tuck" and "Fantastic Four," has died at age 56 after a "valiant" battle with cancer.

Julian McMahon, an Australia-born actor who performed in the “Fantastic Four” series of films and appeared in popular TV shows such as “Charmed,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Profiler,” has died.

He played a half-human, half-demon in the WB supernatural series “Charmed” and a playboy plastic surgeon in the FX series “Nip/Tuck.”
