New Spurs’ boss Thomas Frank managed the midfielder at Brondby before signing him for the Bees in 2019, where Norgaard went on to earn the captain’s armband. And now it appears that Arsenal want to sign the 31-year-old, too – although rumours suggest their opening bid in the region of £9m has been rebuffed, with Brentford holding out for £12m.

Norgaard, who signed a two-year contract at Brentford in March, is set to join Arsenal in a deal worth around £9.3m plus add-ons as they take advantage of the uncertainty at Brentford caused by Thomas Frank's departure to Tottenham.
