Nika King and Storm Reid, who played mother and sister to Zendaya's Rue, will not return to the much-delayed show, nor will Algee Smith's Chris McKay and Dominic Fike's Elliot

The new cast joins returning regulars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow. Colman Domingo will also return, but as a guest star. Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry, who recurred in season two, have been upped to regular status.

Some new crew has boarded the series for its third season as well, including four-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, who joins as a co-producer. Natasha Newman-Thomas joins as costume designer, and Francois Audouy as production designer.
