Midland County commissioners on Tuesday approved a plan to split one of the county’s largest voting precincts to comply with state election laws.

County leaders voted Tuesday to eliminate some voting precincts and split others up, but Elections Administrator Clint Ludwig said those changes won't impact elections.

Midland County Commissioners unanimously approved splitting precinct 211 into two different precincts on Tuesday.

Simmons, Ramirez and O'Hare are up for re-election in 2026. The entire county elects the Tarrant County Judge, meaning new precinct maps will not impact O'Hare.
