Team USA continues to treat and evaluate key player Matthew Tkachuk following undisclosed injury against Team Canada

It was Tkachuk who ignited the fireworks at the start of the United States’ 3-1 win against Canada on Saturday in Montreal, fighting Canada forward Brandon Hagel at puck drop. This after he scored twice in a 6-1 win against Finland in the tournament opener for the U.S.

Matthew Tkachuk left the United States' 4 Nations Face-Off victory over Canada because of what coach Mike Sullivan called a lower-body injury.

Team USA head coach Mike Sullivan provided a last-minute update on the status of NHL star Brady Tkachuk ahead of the Four Nations final against Team Canada.

U.S. star Matthew Tkachuk did not play in the third period or overtime against Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game.

The USA star appeared to get injured at some point in the third period of the round-robin game against Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off. Tkachuk took a few shifts in the early parts of the frame, but he did not appear the final 12 minutes of the game.

It looks like both Matthew and Brady Tkachuk will be good to go for Thursday’s 4 Nations Face-Off championship.

The younger Tkachuk brother has been stellar for Mike Sullivan's team at the NHL international tournament. The Senators captain posted two goals in the USA's opening win over Finland, and then dropped the mitts with Sam Bennett against Canada in the opening seconds of the game.
