The Buffalo Sabres’ four-game road trip now takes them to Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome for a Thursday night matchup with the Flames. On Tuesday, the Sabres rode their top line to a 3-2 comeback victory in Vancouver, their third win of the season when trailing after two periods.

Another chapter in another frustrating season was authored by the Buffalo Sabres. Coming off a win in Vancouver two days ago, the blue and gold let a 2-1 second-period lead slip away in tonight’s 5-2 loss to the Calgary Flames at the Saddledome.

Rory Kerins’ time with the Calgary Flames – at least for now – has come to an end. The Flames announced on Monday (Jan. 27) morning that he had been re-assigned to the Calgary Wranglers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The Flames may take their unexpected hot start to the next level by making a trade for Sabres center Dylan Cozens, per a report.

According to Elliotte Friedman, detailing the situation while appearing on Thursday's episode of "The FAN Hockey Show," the Flames are leaning toward becoming buyers ahead of the March 7 deadline.
