In the midst of a four-game losing streak, Borussia Dortmund sacked Nuri Şahin on Wednesday, but the club's problems go much deeper than the manager.

Borussia Dortmund has sacked Nuri Şahin, as reported by Patrick Berger. The decision comes following four straight defeats to kick start 2025, most recently a 2-1 defeat in the Champions League to Italian side Bologna.

Dortmund’s director of sport, Lars Ricken, has already confirmed that Şahin will travel to Frankfurt with the squad, but should Die Adler triumph, then a dismissal may be just around the corner.
