Fox News reporter Trey Yingst was standing on a balcony as short-range missiles behind him appeared to come closer before being intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome defense system. The footage of the incident preceded a night in which Israel and Iran traded fire, with explosions heard in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Tehran.

Israelis took cover as Tel Aviv was hit by a wave of missiles after Iran vowed to ‘open the gates of hell’. Israel said a ‘limited number’ of buildings had been affected in the city, including a tower near the IDF’s headquarters, HaKirva. Seven people were injured in the blast, two severely and two moderately, local authorities said.
