The game between the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals scheduled for Wednesday night has been postponed by rain. The Cardinals said the I-70 rivals will finish their season series with a split doubleheader Thursday.

The Royals’ scheduled Wednesday evening game against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium was postponed because of inclement weather in St. Louis. The I-70 series will resume Thursday with a split doubleheader. The Royals beat the Cardinals 10-7 in Tuesday’s series opener.

In game one of the series, Royals' top prospect Jac Caglianone made his heavily anticipated debut, and despite him going 0-5, the Royals offense woke up, scoring 10 runs, 6 of which came in the fifth inning.
