A 10-hour standoff between police and an allegedly armed man barricaded in a North Portland home ended Wednesday night with no shots fired and no injuries, police said. The tense encounter was the second of its kind Wednesday. In Old Town, a man who fired shots commandeered a TriMet bus and then refused to leave it, drawing a huge police presence.

The Portland Police Bureau said officers are on the scene negotiating with a suspect after he allegedly fired shots and then boarded a TriMet bus downtown.

Five people are in police custody following a standoff that began when a search warrant was served at a Southeast Portland residence Tuesday morning.

A Portland Police Special Emergency Reaction Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team are on the scene of a possible barricade situation in the St. Johns area.
