Fincantieri announced in a press release that its Letter of Intent with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, first disclosed on April 8, 2024, has been finalized into a firm order for four new cruise ships for the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) brand.

Italian shipmaker Fincantieri locked up its largest ever order for cruise liners, agreeing to build four new vessels for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. for about €9 billion ($9.4 billion).

Fincantieri said Wednesday that it has landed an order to built four massive cruise ships for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH). The State-controlled Italian shipbuilder defined it as a "very important" agreement,

The shipbuilder didn’t provide a value for the order, placed by Norwegian Cruise Line, but a person familiar with the deal said the contract is valued around $9.3 billion.
