SUSPECT CAPTURED: Vance Boelter, the suspect in the fatal shootings of a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband, as well as the woundings of another lawmaker and his wife, has been captured.

Minnesota officials said they are searching for Vance Luther Boelter, who was last seen in the Twin Cities area.

Authorities detained the wife of 57-year-old Vance Boelter, the suspect accused in the deadly shooting of a Minnesota state lawmaker and her husband early Saturday morning.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara joins NewsNation to discuss the capture of Vance Boelter, which ended the largest manhunt in Minnesota history. Authorities from all levels worked together in the 43-hour search that ended in a Sibley County farm field.

It was not immediately clear who was targeted in the Saturday morning shootings in Champlin and Brooklyn Park, Minn. The police said the gunman may be wearing body armor and impersonating an officer.
