Google is enabling Gemini AI apps for kids accounts. This means children younger than 13 can now use Gemini to help with homework, or to generate poems, essays, and more. If you don't want your kids to be able to access these AI features,

Google reportedly sent an email to parents to let them know that the Gemini AI chatbot will soon be available for children under 13 years old. The New York Times cites an email that states the chatbot would be available starting next week for certain users.

The company says kids will be able to use Gemini to do things like help them with homework or read them stories. Like its Workplace for Education accounts, Google says children’s data will not be used to train AI. Still, in the email, Google warns parents that “Gemini can make mistakes,” and kids “may encounter content you don’t want them to see.”
