Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae is set to miss the next “couple of weeks” with an Achilles injury, Vincent Kompany has confirmed. Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga game against Union Berlin, the Bayern head coach explained the 28-year-old centre-back was set for a short spell on the sidelines.

Kim Min-jae lay on the ground for a moment but fortunately got up shortly after. The Munich bench instructed Eric Dier and Ito Hiroki to warm up just in case. After briefly leaving the field, Kim Min-jae re-entered and resumed the game.
