The Harper County Sheriff’s Office asked the KBI to investigate at around 7:15 a.m. The KBI said a woman was shot and has been pronounced dead. No law enforcement officers were hurt in the incident.

The sheriff's office said they recently connected Harper to Wells' murder and charged him. Harper is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and has been denied bond.
