Dale Earnhardt Jr. believes there would be a rush of mid-tier teams at Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota that rush into a new manufacturer’s arms, if NASCAR does in fact add a fourth to the Cup Series sooner rather than later.

"Where else do you go and barely make the field and cry tears of joy? Nowhere," Earnhardt said of the fabled speedway and race.

The 2025 NASCAR season has kicked off at the Daytona International Speedway. There were 45 cars aiming for the prestigious spot in the race, which is often referred to as the Great American Race. Among these was the No. 40 Chevrolet, driven by Justin Allgaier, and representing Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports.
