Kate Middleton's return to the Commonwealth Day celebrations on Monday, March 10, was a masterclass in royal symbolism and sartorial elegance.

The Princess of Wales rewore a favorite dress of hers for the occasion, a stunning candy apple-red coatdress by Catherine Walker with a big, pretty bow adorning the collar and large buttons running down the front. It was the same piece that she wore to the carol service at Westminster Abbey in December of 2021.

But this year, the Royal Family are out in force, with the Prince and Princess of Wales joining the King and Queen and other senior royals for the poignant service. Kate is wearing a striking dress by Catherine Walker and a matching hat by Gina Foster.
