Snowshoeing trails can be found all over Michigan, including at parks and recreation areas in Metro Detroit and the region’s Huron-Clinton Metroparks.

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for two areas of Michigan, both calling for some heavy snow and possibly difficult travel conditions on the roads. These two advisory areas are also hundreds of miles apart and have different timing, so let’s separate it out for you here:

All of Michigan is expected to see accumulating snow Friday into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Storm Watch was expanded this morning to include all of Southeast Michigan starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. This watch precedes advisories and warning.

“Drop by any time to give CNC’s snowshoes a try, do a winter scavenger hunt or warm up by a campfire. Meet at the Homestead Cabin and come enjoy a winter afternoon in the snow,” reads a Facebook event description.

Snow has piled up in Southeast Michigan as multiple rounds of flurries moved through the area on Saturday and Sunday.
