The Transportation Security Administration will no longer require travelers to remove their shoes during security checks at U.S. airports, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced on Tuesday,

As of Tuesday, passengers at U.S. airports are no longer required to remove their shoes during the TSA screening process.

Airplane passengers have previously been able to keep their shoes on through security with TSA PreCheck, an expedited security program. It costs $80 for five years.
