Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brandon Hagel left Game 4 of the series against the Florida Panthers Monday after a high hit from defenseman Aaron Ekblad that wasn't penalized in the second period, and he was still being evaluated well into the third period.

Brandon Hagel’s postseason came to an abrupt end in Game 4 of the Lightning’s first-round series against the Florida Panthers, and now the extent of what happened is clear.

A Lightning power play was negated after the second-period horn when Anthony Cirelli was called for roughing. But Tampa Bay opened the third by scoring in the final seconds of 4-on-4 play (before Florida went on the power play) on Jake Guentzel’s third goal of the series just 21 seconds into the third period.
