Prince Harry is allegedly planning to change his surname from Mountbatten-Windsor to Spencer. A friend of his revealed that the Duke wishes to adopt his late mother, Princess Diana’s, maiden name to distance himself from his royal roots.

Harry, the Duke of Sussex, believed that the passport delays were the result of British officials blocking the applications over the use of the Sussex surname and HRH titles (his or her royal highness) for his children, the newspaper said, citing an unnamed source.

Prince Harry has been urged by royal fans to go ahead with a surname change - with many brutally saying that he "won't be missed". The Duke of Sussex has reportedly reached out to his uncle Charles, Earl Spencer to ask about changing his and his family's surname to Spencer.
