The St. Louis Blues suffered a painstaking defeat in Game 7 against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night, despite holding a 3–1 lead with less than two minutes remaining in regulation. Winnipeg was able to score two goals with their net empty in order to force overtime in the game,

The game at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is the only one on the schedule Sunday night, May 4. It's a big one, with the winner advancing to the second round and the loser heading home for the summer.

St. Louis then pushed the Jets to the brink of elimination with a win in Game 5 before the Jets forced a Game 7 with a victory in Game 6. On Sunday, the Blues carried a two-goal lead into the fourth quarter.
