Barcelona have officially won La Liga after beating Espanyol 2-0 on Thursday with Lamine Yamal scoring the winning goal. They've accomplished the feat with two games to spare, capping an excellent week that also included Sunday's win in El Clasico over rivals Barcelona.

Barcelona clinched its 28th Spanish league title after Lamine Yamal starred in its 2-0 win at crosstown rival Espanyol on Thursday. Yamal scored in the 53rd minute when the teenage phenom slid past two defenders along the edge of the area before he whipped one of his now trademark left-footed curlers into the corner of the net.

Barcelona were confirmed as champions on May 15, 2025 thanks to their victory over Espanyol. Another superb goal from teenage sensation Lamine Yamal and a fine late strike from Fermin Lopez secured a 2-0 win against their local rivals.
