The robotaxi revolution appears to be heating up. Elon Musk stated during Tesla's (NASDAQ:TSLA) earnings conference call that the company aims to roll out its robotaxi service to reach "half the population of the U.

Uber is investing hundreds of millions of dollars into Lucid and autonomous vehicle technology startup Nuro in a bid to launch its own robotaxi service.

Lucid EVs will be equipped with the Nuro Driver Level 4 autonomy system, according to the deal's press release. Nuro is using Nvidia's AI tech to power this system, as it announced at Nvidia's annual GTC (GPU Technology Conference) in March 2024.
