After an initial report on Tuesday that Pittsburgh trade talks for Miami tight end Jonnu Smith had cooled, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that circumstances had changed on Tuesday evening. According to Schefter's sources, a trade for the Dolphins ' Smith is still alive in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers renewed conversations Thursday with Dolphins tight end Jonnu Smith, who is seeking a new contract, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
