Jamie Dimon was awarded an 8.3% pay raise following a year of record profitability at JPMorgan and amid questions about who might succeed him as CEO.

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on Wednesday said the U.S. stock market is overvalued and explained why he’s a little more pessimistic about the global economy than your average Wall Street insider.

The 8.3% boost in compensation – after JPMorgan reported record profit – puts Dimon’s pay on par with that of Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon.

JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s Chief Executive Jamie Dimon told analysts on Wednesday he plans to stay in the job "for a few more years." That would mean that Dimon, who will be 69 in March, would stay at the helm of the U.

Jamie Dimon agreed Wednesday with an analyst's assessment that his "base case" for stepping down as JPMorgan Chase CEO is a few years from now.

Dimon was benchmarked not only on the performance of the Wall Street giant, but the board's options for his successor.

This comes after JPMorgan reported a record 2024 financial result, with its net income rising 18% to $59 billion from the previous year's almost $50 billion

JPMorgan Chase raised its chief executive James Dimon's pay by 8.3% to $39 million in 2024, according to a regulatory filing by the US financial institution on Thursday. This is up from the $36 million Dimon earned in 2023.
