A clinical all-round effort from the England bowling attack stifled India for runs throughout their chase and the visitors recorded their first win of the series. India's lead in the five-match series has been cut in half to 2-1.

England defeated India by 26 runs in the must-win third T20I to keep their hopes of winning the series alive. After the hosts won the first two games of the five-match series, Jos Buttler’s team knew they had to win in Rajkot and did so thanks to a superb bowling display.
