The Florida Panthers looked like anything but underdogs as they dismantled the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals, but they'll embrace the role of the underdog against the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Florida Panthers are back in the Stanley Cup Final for the third consecutive year, with a chance to defend the franchise’s first championship. Despite their recent success, alternate team captain Matthew Tkachuk said on Tuesday that the team still sees itself carrying an "underdog role" heading into a finals rematch against the Edmonton Oilers.

Just less than a year later, those two teams are back in the Stanley Cup Final, a rematch between the champion Panthers and the runner-up Oilers that begins with Game 1 at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET; CBC, TVAS, SN, TNT, truTV, MAX).
