Doechii is really coming up in the world these days as she’s already a Grammy Award winner and well on her way to household name recognition, but nothing says “I made it” like a co-sign from one of the biggest music icons from the previous generation, Lauryn Hill.

Lauryn Hill had an extremely special guest on hand for her set at Miami Gardens, FL’s Jazz in the Gardens festival on Saturday (3/8). She brought out Doechii to join her on “Doo Wop (That Thing),” which you can watch video of below.

Last month, Doechii made history at the 2025 Grammy Awards. With her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, the “ Anxiety ” rapper joined just two other women to ever win a Grammy for Best Rap Album — Cardi B and Miss Lauryn Hill.

Before performing her own hits including “ NISSAN ALTIMA ,” Doechii called Hill “the greatest artist of all time.” She then continued her set with Hill on stage. The latter closed out the show with Wyclef Jean and her son, YG Marley.
