Thomas averaged 15.6 points, 4.7 assists and 1.9 turnovers per game during his sophomore season at UNLV. He also shot 41.3% from the field and 35.3% from the 3-point line.

Thomas has a nifty floater with his dominant left hand and is adept at creating space for his turnaround mid-ranger jumper. If he is crowded, he doesn’t panic and shoot an impossible shot often. The 19-year-old still needs to improve his efficiency.

The LSU Tigers continued to add on to its roster for the 2025-26 basketball season with the addition of UNLV guard Dedan Thomas Jr. His scholarship papers were approved by the LSU Athletics Department late Monday evening.
