C.J. Gardner-Johnson said he "retracts" the comments he made about the Philadelphia Eagles after he was traded to the Houston Texans this offseason, when he said the team "probably won't see a ring without me.

Johnson‘s return to the Eagles lasted only one season. After helping Philadelphia win the Super Bowl in 2024, the veteran safety was traded to the Texans in a deal which included guard Kenyon Green changing teams and Day 3 picks being swapped.
