Poland's former world number one star Iga Swiatek booked her ticket to a Wimbledon final for the first time ever, with the eighth-seed easing past 35th-ranked Belinda Bencic in the semifinals on Thursday.

Bencic makes her Wimbledon quarterfinal but also her first Grand Slam quarterfinal since starting her post-pregnancy comeback.

Bencic announced on her Instagram account in late 2023 that she was pregnant and due to give birth in 2024. The couple quietly married in April 2024. Their daughter, Bella, was born the same month.
