Tesla will give its shareholders the option to invest in artificial intelligence startup xAI, billionaire owner of both companies Elon Musk said on his social media platform X.

The startup is leaning on Musk’s business empire to play catch-up in the AI race.

Elon Musk hints at allowing Tesla shareholders to invest in his AI venture, xAI, subject to a shareholder vote. SpaceX is also set to invest $2 billion in xAI, aiming for a valuation of up to $200 billion.
