Alabama head football coach Kalen DeBoer understands where fans may feel there's a shortcoming on his 2025 Crimson Tide depth chart.

Jason Jones is now on staff for the Tide, helping coach defensive backs alongside Maurice Linguist, who largely focused on UA’s cornerbacks last season. He’s one of two additions to the staff, along with Chuck Morrell, who got a promotion to inside linebackers coach.

Kalen DeBoer’s first season at Alabama didn’t go exactly as planned as the team finished 9-4 with a ReliaQuest Bowl loss to Michigan. But, he knows what comes next in 2025. The Crimson Tide have to be better fast to measure up to the Alabama standard.
