The release of the latest trailer for Fantastic Four evokes a feel-good, retro space-age vibe that complements the Man of Steel’s themes. Matt Shakman is the director of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While Shakman only has one feature movie directing credit on his resume (the 2014 movie Cut Bank ), he does have Marvel experience, having directed all nine episodes of the Marvel Disney Plus series WandaVision. Now he’s getting to officially play in the MCU sandbox.
First Steps is aiming to earn somewhere between USD 100 million and USD 110 million at the North American box office in its opening weekend. The worldwide figures are expected to reach USD 225 million.
